Frostarc has been re-released as an updated second edition with a new cover design and a refined manuscript.

Frostarc is my debut novel and was originally published over four years ago. During the last four years I have improved as a writer and now have the opportunity to hone in on my craft and give more attention to my projects. When I first wrote Frostarc it was in a noisy living room at my family’s home. I had just graduated from college. At the time I was concentrating on building a portfolio through my internships and finding a real job, not forming a career as a novelist. I started Frostarc in 2008 and after four years, fives jobs, fives homes, two states, and so much more I finally made it through several drafts and edits until I was happy enough with it to self-publish the book. I had no idea what I was doing. The ebook scene was still new. But I made a book and put it on sale.

After Frostarc was completed I struggled to refocus on my writing. More years, jobs, and moves went by without me completing another project. Now that I have finally committed to writing full time, I wanted to give Frostarc a little bit more of the attention it deserved. The manuscript was edited once again and I removed some of the book’s fluff. There were some scenes and ideas which were drawn out too far. It was my first book and when I first wrote it I had it in my mind what size I wanted the book to be, which was the wrong way to approach writing a novel. I feel much better about Frostarc now that it has received a little trim around the edges.

Glad to have the new second edition out for sale.

Later this week I am going to begin a three week journey along the Pacific Crest Trail– hiking from Crater Lake down to Mt. Shasta. I’m looking forward to getting back out on the trail, but I’m also excited to hike the first week of the journey with my father. It’s going to be a great adventure and I will be blogging my trail journal here for all of you to see.

Also Silhouette’s release is on the horizon. The ebook is still available for preorder and will be until the release on July 16th. I’m proofing the print version right now and I’m very happy with how it’s turning out.
